Hope Gospel Mission Men's Shelter

Hope Gospel Mission Men's Shelter

According to the Urban Institute's report on homelessness, on any given day, 61 percent of the adult population using homeless assistance are men who are all alone. This is why our Men’s Shelter is such a vital part of the Hope Gospel Mission.

First and foremost, we provide the basic needs of food, clothing, shelter and health care to the men who come to us in need. They find themselves in homey surroundings fostered by Christian care. Food and shelter alone will not put them on a different path, however. To this end, our shelter is built upon a structured routine to focus residents on reclaiming their independence and dignity.

We require all residents to work and help support themselves. We give the necessary training and life skills to empower them to live on their own through our Renewed Hope Program. And, core to our beliefs, we share with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encourage positive change through Biblical methods and principles.

Each resident’s length of stay will vary according to their individual needs, but during their time at Hope Gospel Mission, they will always experience the care and compassionate correction to disable destructive behavior and move toward independent living.

All potential residents must have a pre-entrance interview prior to being accepted into one of our programs. Those interested should contact a Resident Manager after 5:00 p.m. to set up this pre-entrance interview. You can contact our Resident Managers after 5:00 p.m. by calling (715) 552-5566 or stop by our Men's Shelter at 8 South Farwell Street.
